Responding to the training needs of the digital finances sector, FINTECH is at the forefront of the employment needs of the financial industry over the coming years.
The Fintech sector is on the receiving end of a great deal of attention recently due to the potential of trends such as mobile payments, blockchain and crowdlending and not only in Western countries but in particular in emerging markets.
According to the World Economic Forum, the global business opportunity for the use of Fintech by SMEs is some 2 billion dollars.
The course is essentially aimed at professionals with a minimum of 2 years work experience in the finance field or who wish to re-orientate their career towards this field.
Anyone interested in learning aspects related with financial technology, blockchain, crowdfunding, big data, regulation, taxation, bitcoin, cyber-security, wallets and brokers on-line.
The programme consists of 10 Modules.

He has worked in many sectors including IT and internet, payment methods, services and engineering, sporting betting and is an expert in FINTECH. He is a prolific entrepreneur active in areas of branded content, crowdfunding and electronic systems and communications media, among other sectors.

With a degree in International Business from the University Pompeu Fabra- ESCI, he began his career as a merger and acquisitions analyst in Madrid, working for the main national and international venture capital funds. Since July 2014 he has managed the Crowdcube subsidiary in Spain. Since then, Crowdcube has financed over 45 Spanish companies to a value of 10 million euros. At an international level, Crowdcube has financed over 500 companies to a value of 3000 million euros, establishing the entity as the leading investment platform in Europe for startups and growing SMEs.
EMEA Sales Director for Goodyear Dunlop based in Luxembourg; he has twenty years’ experience leading commercial teams in different channels and countries. Degree in Business Administration and Management, and MBA and PDD from IESE. Executive coach certified by the European Coaching School (ICF).
Joint founder and managing director of the mezzanine financing platform Grow.ly. A graduate in International Business Sciences from the Pontificia University of Comillas (ICADE) and with a BA Degree in European Business from Dublin City University (DCU), specialising in business management .
Partner Strategy Big Data. Graduate in IT management engineering from the Pontificia University of Salamanca and with a PDD from IESE. He is a joint founding partner of Strategy Big Data and SCL and is a member of the board of several companies. He has extensive experience in training, having given courses and lectures in numerous universities and business schools and companies in all sectors, both in Spain and abroad.
He has combined his professional career in the digital world with teaching and consultancy activities, along with participation in start-ups. He currently works at Telefónica as Head of Digital and Omnichannel in the field of marketing and was formerly Director of Online and Multichannel at Phone House. He has a degree in DEA (research studies) and a Doctorate in Strategic Management from the Madrid Complutense University and a master's degree in E-Business.
CDO Banco Santander. With over 20 years’ experience in the financial and insurance sector, 15 of these in consultancy, leading customer transformation in Europe and Latam. From 2011 she has worked at Grupo Santander, and is a member of the Management Board of the Technology and Operations Area, with responsibility for various units where she develops transformation plans for Retail, Risk, Financial and Corporate Businesses, implementing new systems and digital processes. She is currently Chief Data Officer (CDO) of Banco Santander, responsible for developing and implementing the Data Governance Model in Spain. Member of the Advisory Board for the Network of Entrepreneurs Santander España.
Specialist in IT services (Mobile services, Financial Services, Security, Energy, Cloud...), with over 15 years’ experience in major companies. He is currently working at Telefónica as: Head of Digital Transformation projects for major companies, Open Future collaborator, Blogger on “One clic from TICs”, Professor at the “School of Excellence”, “Telefónica Schools” and “Learn4Sales”. Specialist in Payment Methods, involved with mobile payments from the launch of Mobipay in 2000, and subsequent development of the sector to NFC. Since 2007 he has been responsible for various card payment gateways. He is co-founder of NevTrace, the First Blockchain laboratory in Spain, designed to assist major companies in understanding and making the most of this technology. Director of the Postgraduate course in Expert in Payment Methods, Bitcoin and Blockchain from the European University of Madrid.
Head of EMAS SPAIN//EQUITY Multi Assets Solutions at CITIGROUP. Alfonso began his professional career in the financial sector in Commercial Banking at Barclays (in 1999) moving on to Asset Management in order to work with INVESCO and Gartmore. In 2004 he joined Société Générale working in its Markets department developing institutional business of Derivates and Structured Products. In 2011 he joined the Markets solutions team at Citigroup where he works at the present time. During his career, he has developed investment product and proposed solutions for financial institutions from sides, assets and liabilities alike. From the perspective of financial business he has developed the distribution (retail) business and institutional product.

His speciality is competition law, industrial and intellectual property, Fintech and payment services, including consultancy, and defending court and out of court cases (including coordination of law suits in different jurisdictions) relating to competition law, electronic commerce, payment services, commercial contracting, patents, trademarks, designs and domain names.

With over 18 years’ experience in the IT world, he has been able to work on a wide range of projects, from deployment of IT platforms, Big Data, Cloud, Blockchain or digital transformation. He has written two books on IT, “Capacity Playing IT: a practical approach” and “DevOps and the yellow tile path”. He currently combines his work as head of engineering at Kolokium with mentoring and collaborating on various startups.
Several years’ experience in Venture Capital having worked for Hércules Capital, a Venture Debt fund in Palo Alto and Axon Partners, a venture capital fund focusing on LatAm, Spain and India. She is currently working as Fintech Strategy Manager for Banco Sabadell, seeking collaboration opportunities in the financial entrepreneurial ecosystem. Paula also acts as mentor and collaborator with the Founder Institute, Startupbootcamp Fintech and Big Data, the European Institute of Entrepreneurship and South Summit among others.
