The automotive sector in Spain accounts for 10% of the GDP and 17.7% of all Spanish exports. The industry generates 400,000 direct jobs and 2 million related jobs in the sector. In 2018 2,819,565 vehicles were manufactured in Spain, with a 9.3% increase compared to the previous year.
Spain is the second biggest vehicle manufacturer in Europe after Germany.
These figures bear witness to the fact that the Automotive Industry is one of the most important in the industrial and productive fabric, not just of Spain but that of the whole world. And in order to navigate this complicated automotive universe, excellent professionals are essential. Professionals who work conscientiously, applying a rigorous analysis to problems, able to adequately diagnose the real situation, and applying the appropriate solutions to any problems arising. For this purpose it is essential to analyse, discuss, and to speak on the grounds of genuine facts rather than mere impressions. And this is what this Master's in Automotive Business management aims to do, namely, to provide students with the skills and tools they will need to deal with the professional situations that they will encounter in their career through analysis- based solutions and with a more professional approach.
Managing impressions in the old way has given way to a more professional style of management, compiling data as the basis for their subsequent analyses and diagnoses to propose solutions in the most appropriate way to any problems arising. Agents in the market need to take a more professional approach to management and their skills need to be on a par with other industries in terms of decision making, analysis, implementation of processes, relations in the sector and digitalisation etc.
